Organic Certification process of Barley Grass and Wheatgrass

   
Our barley grass and wheatgrass are also organically certified by Biogro in New Zealand. This process involves several stages, all intended to ensure that consumers are guaranteed to receive an organic product. Firstly, the farm is inspected annually to ensure it meets all the organic growing requirements. In addition, all processors of the barley grass and wheatgrass (e.g. the company that harvests the products, the drying company, the mill and the packaging unit) need to be organically certified. Once the product has been packed, it is then inspected by Biogro NZ who issue an organic certificate of inspection certifying that the barley grass and wheatgrass are organic. Once they arrive in the UK, the accompanying certificate of inspection is validated by the Port Health Authority who inspect the goods to see if they match what is on the certificate of inspection.
 

What you should expect from our organic products
 
100% pure and natural broken-cell wall Chlorella Vulgaris, Spirulina Platensis, New Zealand wheatgrass and barley grass.
 
There are three choices: 500mg tablets, 400mg vegetarian capsules and powder all with the same organic products in a variety of packs for 1-month, 3-month, 6-month and more.

 

Organic chlorella and spirulina powder and tablets are cultivated and harvested in the pristine waters of Haikou on the Hainan Island off the southern-most coast of China in the South China Sea. Hainan Island is designated a “Special Economic Zone” to utilize its superior clean air and water and promote sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, pollution control and tourism. Hainan Island has some of the best surface water quality in all of China resulting from hundreds of natural springs fed by China’s largest and most well-preserved intact tropical rainforest. In addition, all industries on Hainan Island are required to be pollution-free, with no damage to the environment, so we assure you that you’re getting a pollution-free product.

 

Grown and processed in compliance with ISO 9001 (certification for quality management systems) and GMP standards.

The vegetarian capsules are packed in the UK. Barley grass and wheatgrass powder are produced in New Zealand and packed in the UK.

 

GMO-free and with no pesticides, herbicides, preservatives, binding agents, artificial colourings, flavourings, fillers or any synthetic additives whatsoever.

 

All our organic products are gluten-free and are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

   
 Tablets are vacuum-packed in state-of-the-art food-graded 90 micron aluminium foil bags with a press ziplock to reseal after opening. The benefits are:

• Removes oxygen so preventing oxidation and film forming on the tablet

• Keeps out water and dust reliably

• Protects against moisture and drying out

• Contents stay complete and unharmed

• The outer foil liner gives an optimum light barrier, the inner liner is food-grade plastic (PET/AL/PE)

• Individual 90g packs means that every time you open a pack, contents are fresh

The pots for our organically-grown chlorella powder are manufactured from high-grade polypropylene in a superior, high-gloss finish with a tear-band tamper-evident closure - this helps to protect the product from damage and spoilage during transportation by minimising movement in unused space inside the container. They are packed with a SuperDryPak™ safe indicating silica gel 1g sachet that keeps the powder fresh and free from moisture. SuperDryPak™ is an environmentally friendly desiccant which provides a clear and distinct colour change from orange (dry) to green (saturated) as it absorbs moisture.

  

The brown kraft paper stand-up pouches for our organically-grown chlorella products are manufactured from 70gsm paper and 12 micron metalised PET / 70 micron PE lining (food grade specification) with a tear-band and resealable ziplock. Note that the individual layers of the pouches can be recycled. They are also packed with a SuperDryPak™ safe indicating silica gel 1g desiccant that keeps the contents fresh and free from moisture.
 
Our capsules are made of 100% vegetable cellulose shells with no porcine, bovine or fish gelatine.

 

Packages are clearly labelled with taking instructions, detailed nutritional analysis, batch number, "best before" dates and contact details.
